Calling all children to Literature Live! The Little Festival - where books are a lot of fun!

The Little Festival, a literary event curated specially for children of the ages 8-14, will be held under the aegis of the 15th edition of Literature Live! The Mumbai Litfest in collaboration with the HT Parekh Foundation on 15th & 16th November at the  NCPA, Nariman Point, Mumbai.

With Indian and international writers (the youngest being just 14) telling stories, sessions moderated by tweens, awards for children’s books, performances, book swaps, workshops and walk-and-write nature trails it's a complete literary treat for children. Celebrated writers for children such as Appupen, Farrukh Dhondy, Jerry Pinto, Maddalena Vaglio Tanet, Marcus Du Sautoy, Neha Singh, Payal Kapadia, and Vaishali Shroff, will participate in varied sessions on books, ideas and writing. In the Doorbeen Library Tent on the NCPA grounds, children will be told stories through dance, art and movement, and books will be swapped. All swapped books will help set up libraries in NGOs and schools. There will also be a range of workshops, including nature-mapping, making comics, writing nonsense poetry, and creating spaces in libraries for children.

Calling all children from across the city to join us at the festival where you will get to meet the authors who write for you and help your imagination soar. Bring a book along to exchange!
