Warm fingers entwine with my superhero as I walk him down the aisle, he is really nervous. It was his big day, his getting married. We smiled at the camera and waited on stage,we could hear people whisper but nothing mattered. After a while a hymn of soothing melody hit our ears and everybody’s eyes was at the entrance as my mom-to-be entered the room in a traditional red Banarasi saree. She got bonus points for looking extra beautiful than any Indian bride.
Yes, she wasn’t Indian. Sabrina was the CEO of a famous company in Italy, She was stronger than any other man and was a perfect example of beauty with brain. She looked really beautiful in the saree. Dad couldn’t stop admiring her.
As the pheras started I couldn’t help but think of the first time I met her, I was mesmerised by her beauty. I personally loved her personality as an independent woman. She started her own company and collaborated with my dad’s company, yea that’s where they first met and here we are today. Two successful business partners , starting their new journey as life partners, I feel proud as I’ve seen them grow stronger not only as business partners but as humans.
After losing my mom, dad only focused on work. Sabrina was the only person who helped dad start a new chapter in his life. And in this new chapter dad has broken many stereotypes. As dad put the mangalsutra around her neck, I could see the relief to his eyes.
