Poetry

Keep cats if you want your plants bitten at the edges,
If you want your precious cutlery broken,
If you want to be woken up at 3 in the morning,
If you love your couch having scratch marks,
If you like your home to be a museum of fur,
If you love having cute meows when a soft fur face looks at you,
If you like having the gaze of a cute creature looking up at you,
If you like sleeping next to a purring creature that provides comfort,
If you love a cat that sleeps in your legs
If after a long, tired day, a cat greets you at the door,
With a pat on its head, hides my mortal rest
