Unexpressed Pain

Nelson Fernandes

Nobody can say
Everyday is a good day.
Root of the pain at times
Isn't black or white
Sometimes just grey.

Fingers trembling to lift ur coffee cup,
Unable to bend to pamper ur pup,
Body wants to sleep
Brain wants to weep
This bitter chalice of pain got to gulp

In search of reasons,
Fighting a new war in different seasons.
Unusual for others is my usual.
Expecting others to understand the depth
Is kinda delusional.

In the shower,
Head light as a flower
Washing the energy,
Wiping pain with a towel
Insomnia keeping me awake
All through the night as an owl

Take the rest
Program the brain
My heart willing to suggest
Before it goes insane

Accepted this pain,
Three cheers to life
For life will never be the same again
Short of words to express
Hence decided not to complain
