Arundhathi Subramaniam is a leading Indian poet and author of fourteen books of poetry and prose. A recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award 2020, and shortlisted for the TS Eliot Poetry Prize 2015, her awards include the Mahakavi Kanhaiyalal Sethia Award, Khushwant Singh Poetry Prize, Il Ceppo Award in Italy, among numerous others. As editor, her recent work includes 'Wild Women', a Penguin anthology of Indian female mystic poetry, and 'Eating God', a volume of Bhakti poetry. Her prose work includes the bestselling biography of a contemporary mystic, 'Sadhguru: More Than a Life', and a book of essays, 'Women Who Wear Only Themselves'. She has been active as a curator, performing arts critic and poetry editor.
