Darius Stewart is an award-winning writer and author of the poetry collection 'Intimacies in Borrowed Light' and the lyrical memoir 'Be Not Afraid of My Body'. His work has appeared in numerous literary journals, including Arkansas International, Brink, Callaloo, Fourth Genre, and Verse Daily. Stewart holds MFAs in poetry and creative non-fiction from the Michener Center for Writers and the University of Iowa. He is a Lulu Merle Johnson Doctoral Fellow in English at the University of Iowa. He lives in Iowa City with his dog, Gizmo.
