Dinyar Patel is Associate Professor of History at SPJIMR and an associate at the Mittal South Asia Institute, Harvard University. He is the author of, 'Naoroji: Pioneer of Indian Nationalism', which received the Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay NIF Book Prize in 2021. He has received fellowships and grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Fulbright Foundation, and the American Institute of Indian Studies. Patel has written for BBC News, Atlantic, Foreign Affairs, New York Times online, Los Angeles Review of Books, Scroll.in, Himal Southasia, Hindu, Indian Express, India Forum, and India Today.
