Imtiaz Ali is a film director, writer and producer of several iconic Hindi films. He grew up in Patna and Jamshedpur. He was a basketball player and was involved in theatre from middle school. Later he attended Hindu College at the University of Delhi where he completed his bachelor’s degree in English Literature. He was a founder member of IBTIDA, the Dramatics Society of Hindu College. Thereafter he moved to Mumbai where he wrote and directed several hit movies including ‘Jab We Met’, ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Rockstar’, ‘Highway.’ He has also created TV series for Indian and international channels.
