Kazim Ali has published twenty books of poetry, fiction, essays and criticism. He is Professor of Comparative Literature and Literary Arts at the University of California, San Diego.
Additionally he is a translator (of books by Marguerite Duras, Ananda Devi, and Sohrab Sepehri), editor, and publisher, having founded Nightboat Books in 2004. His most recent book is Sukun: New and Selected Poems.
