Vijaya Chitre, widely recognised as the wife of the multifaceted artist Dilip Chitre, was far more than just his life companion. A devoted collaborator, she played an invaluable role in his creative journey, assisting him with editing and translations, along with providing her support across his ventures in cinema, documentaries, and advertising. She has meticulously preserved and organised Dilip Chitre’s occasionally scattered work, ensuring that many of his manuscripts were published posthumously following his demise in 2009.
